We have found in our research that most of the LED grow light companies are currently producing most of their products in china. In our testing we have found that most of the lights that are being made outside of the US are using very low quality LEDs or lamps in the wrong wavelengths. We have worked with china ourselves in the last few years with many different electronic products and have noticed that they tend to save cost by choosing very low quality components. I am urging you to be extremely careful in dealing with these companies because they will often send you a perfect sample and when you start to make decent size orders they will skimp you with cheap components. When buying an LED Grow Lights for wholesale or retail make sure to always check the following components.
1.) LEDs and Wavelengths.
2.) Power Supply or Ballast.
3.) Cooling method & Heat sink.
4.) Quality of housing.
The Led types and wavelengths are extremely important if you want a high quality product because if they are not strong enough or in the incorrect wavelengths your plants will not grow. The Power supply is also important because if the components are not quality you will have power failures always make sure to look for a warranty. I think the second most important factor is Heat Sinks and Cooling, because LEDs tend to heat up over time. Although LEDs don't run high in heat they tend to lose intensity as they heat up. This doesn't harm the LEDs as they tend to go back to the same intensity as they cool down, but you want to make sure your LEDs are constantly being cooled so they can run at optimal intensity's at all times.
